Aw Shucks! is a traditional publishing house that wants to work with indie authors.
And, in the spirit of indie, we empower our writers to have the final say in whatever we publish. We'll still support and guide through the writing, editing, and publishing process, just like any other traditional publisher, but we won't add "fin" until you say it's ready.
If you haven't been published before, or perhaps you only have 400 followers on your socials combined? That's fine
We only look at what's important: is the story something we would read? Do we know how to pitch it to bookstores? And do we think this story needs to be on the shelves?
Our style: Think Confederacy of Dunces meets the "Like a Rolling Stone: The Life and Times of Ben Fong Torres" documentary meets the only person you know who can pull off a cape confidently.
